Extremely useful. My stake out pole is attached to the kayak with one of these. On my Hobie Outback you’ll see one in the front H-Rail and one in the back H-Rail. I can clip my stakeout pole rope to either one of them depending on which way the water is flowing and which way I want to face. Of course, with reverse mode on my Hobie Mirage drive it’s less necessary.
