Field Trip!

Field Trips are always fun, especially when Kayak fishing. Today I left my home marsh behind to kayak fish the marsh in South Daytona Beach and Port Orange, Florida. It was an enjoyable day with Blue fish, speckled sea trout, and Flounder. This area is called “three bridges”, or maybe that’s “3 bridges”, by the local kayak fishermen. It’s a vast marsh located south of the Dunlawton bridge, just off of US-1, and just west of Ponce Inlet, Florida where the ocean meets the marsh. There’s a nice man made kayak launch just off of US-1 as you’re heading south. It’s just after the third bridge.

My name is Ron. I’m “Kayak Fishing Addict” on YouTube! I was bit by the kayak fishing bug and I’ve been addicted ever since. This is my blog where I discuss everything about my kayak fishing adventures, including the backstory. I’ll share what fishing lures I use, the types of fish I catch like redfish, speckled trout, and flounder, how I film, and what I encountered in the marsh. You’ll get all of my kayak fishing catches, tips, and tricks that you can use to put more fish in the boat!

  • Glad to hear that you’re out on your new kayak, congratulations! Its a smart move to use a GPS. I use the one on my fish finder, however I also have my phone with GPS in my pocket as a back up. Once you get back in these marshes it’s hard sometimes to find your way out. The best recommendation is to take a buddy. Tight lines.
