Today I’m sharing with you the two best soft plastic baits ever made! Seven months ago I switched to these baits and I’m sure happy I did. They’re durable, cost effective, and above all they put fish in the boat!

The Backstory
This video was a lot of fun to make! It was a good day of fishing. The main video shows only a few of the fish that were caught. The Members Only version has a few more speckled trout that were caught with these same two lures. I didn’t get those additional catches into the main video because the wireless microphones I use have lithium ion batteries and they’re starting to lose charge quicker due to too many recharge cycles. In other words, the speckled trout catches came near the end and they have no audio.
You’ll also notice that the audio level is higher in this video. That is by design as my videos to date have been well below YouTube’s reference level. That means if you set your volume for most videos on the platform, and then play one of mine, you’ll very likely find yourself turning up the volume for my videos and then turning it down for another video on the platform.
In fact, if you are on a computer you can see in your browser the loudness level by launching “stats for nerds” using the context menu. When you do, you’ll see that this video’s level is still -3.0 dB! That means that when compared to the reference YouTube level that all videos are supposed to match, the volume is still low and needs to be increased. I may eventually increase it to YouTube’s reference level, however, I want to ensure you don’t have to adjust too much when you watch several of my videos in a row.
