Easy & Cheap!

Do you want to know how to install the Garmin Striker 4 Transducer on a Hobie Lowrance Ready Kayak for $1.18? If so, this video is for you! I link to the parts you’ll need below, and if you’re making your own bracket, the video gives you the dimensions you’ll need as well. Either way, you’ll see the quick and full transducer mounting and have your fish finder up and working in no time! I hope it’s helpful and dramatically reduces the time and headache of finding or creating a solution for this common issue!

Here’s the part on Amazon or here’s another one …but if you don’t need that many, you can get it from Lowe’s like I did for $1.18 for a 5-pack (item #816301, Model #42820). You’ll need two to mount a single transducer.

The dimensions I give in the video are 2.25” x 0.5” with the holes separated on center by 1.5”. They should prove useful if you plan on making something yourself. Please remember that the bolts in the package work because the part is thin and sturdy. If you make your own part you’ll need to likely use other bolts. That said, remember, you can purchase the parts I used for only $1.18 at the hardware store.

Don’t stop with just the fish finder though, here’s how you can rig your Compass for efficient fishing!
