How I Film Kayak Fishing Videos
Today I’m going to show you my GoPro setup for kayak fishing. As you can imagine, filming kayak fishing videos presents challenges while you’re out on the water. So how can you setup your GoPro to film yourself as you’re kayak fishing? I’ll walk you through my main setup and show you how I’ve got it all rigged and optimized so that I can concentrate on fishing, instead of filming myself fishing!

Recently added a new camera and set it up with an external battery so I can record all day without changing batteries but needed a splash proof connection through the waterproof case for the micro USB port. After trying several ways I came up with a method by modifying one my paddle tail swim baits to seal the connection over the cable. It works great, although I wouldn't trust it submerged under water but certainly adequate for rain and the occasional splash.
I'd say that's a unique use of a paddle tail. Why not try the earplugs that I use? They're cheap and work great! Check out my gear page – http://gear.KayakFishingAddict.com for the Mack's earplugs.
Thanks I'll give them a try. My thought of using the rubber of a paddle is that it might me long lasting.
